Sarah Wood | Violin
Sarah Wood (violin), pursues a career as a frequent recitalist, chamber musician and orchestral leader. She performs with the San Francisco Symphony, the Circadian String Quartet, as Assistant Principal Second of the Berkeley Symphony, and acting Assistant Concertmaster of the California Symphony. Sarah has soloed with Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra, the Villa Sinfonia, Panache & Icicle Creek Chamber Orchestras. Internationally, she has performed in the Netherlands, in Tunisia as a musical ambassador for Cultures in Harmony, and in Chile on Easter Island. She can be found educating young musicians at the The Crowden School and through her private studio. Sarah earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in violin performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied with the Takacs String Quartet and Lina Bahn, and also holds a B.M. and M.M. in violin performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Paul Kantor & William Preucil.
